Sometimes it’s the spontaneous things that make life exciting. As a musician with a full-time job, every gig request raises the question of whether the date can be reconciled with everyday life. And sometimes you have to take a little risk. Can I get out of work in time? Will I be able to put together a suitable set list in time and rehearse on the side? For today’s gig, I leave the office, get on the train straight away and hope to arrive on time with all my equipment. It’s inconvenient. But fuck it! Life is for living. And my life is music.
Today you can expect a mixture of electronic beats and samples, lots of guitar walls and a variety of styles that I recently coined the term “setal rock” – a portmanteau of samples, metal and rock. Does that make sense? I have no idea. I think it does.
